Summary
The Summary of this chapter is that a chemical known as wood alcohol has killed many people in Jazz Age New York. Charles Norris was a pathologist who had worked at Bellevue and was put in to the position of the new forensic scientist. He then discovered that wood alcohol has been used to cause serious injury or kill people. Wood alcohol is also known as Methyl Alcohol. He found that this substance was made when you heated up the wood and used its liquid that was secreted to make this deadly chemical.
